Microtopping — micro-concrete

A cement-based mix with marble powder and binders, hand-applied in thin layers over any stable surface: tiles, concrete, porcelain stoneware, marble, wood, plasterboard and metal.

Illustration

The total thickness is only 2–3 mm, so there's no need to remove the existing tiles, and there's almost no change in height at doors, thresholds and transitions between rooms.

The surface is continuous — no expansion joints and no seams — flowing from the floor onto the wall, the stairs and the vanity top. The finish is your choice: smooth, clouded, burnt or 3D, matt or gloss, in any colour from the RAL chart.

Finally the surface is sealed with dedicated sealers that keep water out, protect against wear and stop the colour yellowing in the sun. In wet rooms we add a subtle anti-slip texture.
