Who does the application?+
Only applicators trained by Topcret. The manufacturer doesn't sell material to professionals who haven't been trained — that way it can guarantee both the material and the workmanship. Art Floor is a certified installer in Israel.
Is a building permit required?+
No. There's no debris, the work is quick, and you can walk on the surface after 24 hours.
Which surfaces can it be applied to?+
Almost any stable surface: ceramic, porcelain, cement render, tiles, plaster, plasterboard and marble — without removing what's there. Wooden floors and parquet move, so they must be removed first.
What's the difference between microcement and polished concrete?+
Polished concrete is over 6 cm thick, needs expansion joints and cracks much more easily. Microcement is about 2 mm over the existing surface, a continuous surface with no joints, and comes in a wider range of finishes and textures.
Can it go over underfloor heating?+
Yes, the materials are fully suitable. You just need to take care with substrate preparation.
Can it be used outdoors?+
Yes, provided the substrate is properly waterproofed and has the correct falls — to prevent rising damp and puddles.
Is the surface slippery?+
Any Topcret coating can receive a T/Grip anti-slip treatment. The slip-resistance class is set according to the standard required for the space.
How do you clean and maintain it?+
Water and neutral soap. From time to time add a gloss wax diluted in water, which renews the protective layer. No solvents or aggressive chemicals.
Does the price change depending on the surface?+
No — the application cost is the same. An extra is needed only if the substrate is badly damaged and requires a levelling layer or an additional base.
Can it be renewed or recoloured after some years?+
Yes. There's a renewal system that removes signs of wear, and technically the colour can also be changed over an existing coating.
