Basement with a snooker room and home cinema
- Location
- Private home, Kfar Shmaryahu
- System
- Self-levelling microtopping + hand application
In the middle of the basement stands an original snooker table that was assembled on site and couldn't be moved. We needed a material that would meet the table legs without damaging them.
We poured a 2 mm self-levelling base layer over the old, cracked floor, and on top hand-applied microtopping in a blue-grey colour we produced for the project — in one go, with no joints and no cracks.
Instead of skirting boards we created rounded concrete coves that make cleaning easier, topped with a strip in metallic black. The plasterboard air-conditioning ducts and a wall in the cinema room also received a matching coating.
